Last updated: July 1, 2026

HITGo respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you use the HITGo rider app, driver app, website and related services.

By using HITGo, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. You should also review our Terms of Service.

01

Introduction

This policy applies to riders, drivers, website visitors and other people who interact with HITGo.

The information collected may differ depending on whether you use HITGo as a rider or driver and which features are available in your service area.

02

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide directly, including:

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your profile photograph, where provided.
  • Account and sign-in information.
  • Pickup locations and destinations.
  • Support requests and communications with HITGo.
  • Ratings, feedback and reports submitted through the platform.
  • Payment or transaction-related information where payment features are available.

Drivers may also be required to provide identification, licence, insurance, vehicle and eligibility information.

We may automatically collect technical information such as device type, operating system, application version, IP address, diagnostic information and interactions with the platform.

03

Location information

HITGo uses location information to provide ride-related features, including pickup selection, driver availability, rider and driver matching, navigation and trip progress.

Riders may provide location information by selecting a location on a map, entering an address or allowing the app to access the device location.

The driver app may collect location information while a driver is online, receiving requests or completing a trip. Depending on the permissions granted, location access may continue while the app is running in the background.

You can manage location permissions through your device settings. Restricting location access may prevent certain HITGo features from working correctly.

04

Ride and transaction information

When HITGo is used to request or complete a ride, we may collect:

  • Pickup and destination information.
  • Requested, accepted, cancelled and completed ride details.
  • Dates, times, routes and estimated or recorded trip duration.
  • Driver, rider and vehicle information connected to the ride.
  • Fare, payment and refund information where applicable.
  • Ratings, support reports and safety-related information.

This information helps us operate the service, respond to disputes, provide support and maintain platform records.

05

How we use information

We may use collected information to:

  • Create, maintain and secure HITGo accounts.
  • Connect riders with available drivers.
  • Process and manage ride requests.
  • Display pickup, destination and trip information.
  • Provide notifications and ride updates.
  • Process payments and refunds where supported.
  • Respond to questions, reports and support requests.
  • Investigate fraud, misuse and safety incidents.
  • Improve app performance, reliability and user experience.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
06

How we share information

HITGo may share information where necessary to provide the service. For example, riders and drivers may receive information about one another after a ride request is accepted.

Information shared for a ride may include:

  • First name and profile photograph.
  • Driver and vehicle information.
  • Pickup location and destination.
  • Relevant trip and contact information.

We may also share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, maps, notifications, analytics, payments, customer support and platform security.

Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, investigate fraud, protect users or address an immediate safety concern.

HITGo does not sell personal information to third parties for their independent advertising purposes.

07

Communications

We may use your contact information to send service-related messages, including sign-in codes, ride updates, account notices, safety information and support responses.

Riders and drivers may communicate through features made available by the platform. Contact details should only be used for legitimate ride-related purposes.

Promotional communications, where offered, will include an appropriate method for managing preferences or opting out.

08

Device permissions

HITGo may request access to device features required for the app to function, including:

  • Location, for pickup, matching and trip features.
  • Notifications, for ride and account updates.
  • Camera or photo library, when uploading profile or verification images.
  • Phone functionality, when calling a rider, driver or support.

Permissions can be reviewed or changed through your device settings. Some app features may not work when a required permission is disabled.

09

Data storage and security

HITGo uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.

These safeguards may include access controls, authentication, encrypted communications, monitoring and restricted access to production systems.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying HITGo if you believe your account has been compromised.

10

Data retention

HITGo retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and ride records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, the reason it was collected and applicable legal requirements.

Some information may be retained after account deletion where needed for financial reporting, fraud prevention, safety investigations, dispute resolution or compliance with the law.

11

Your choices and rights

Depending on the information and applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Review or update your account information.
  • Change device permissions.
  • Request access to personal information held about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.

HITGo may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. Some requests may be limited where information must be retained by law or for legitimate safety, fraud-prevention or operational reasons.

12

Account deletion

You may request deletion of your HITGo account through the available in-app account controls or by following the instructions on the Delete Account page.

Before completing deletion, HITGo may verify that the request was submitted by the account owner.

Account deletion may remove profile details, account preferences and ride information, subject to records that must be retained for legal, financial, fraud-prevention or safety purposes.

13

Children's privacy

HITGo is not intended for children who are not legally permitted to create and manage their own account.

A minor should only use the service in accordance with applicable law and any HITGo age or account requirements.

Contact HITGo if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation.

14

Third-party services

HITGo may use third-party providers for services including hosting, authentication, maps, notifications, analytics, payment processing and app distribution.

These providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. HITGo selects and uses service providers based on the needs of the platform and applicable data-protection requirements.

Links to third-party websites or services are not controlled by HITGo, and their privacy practices may differ from ours.

15

International processing

Some technology and service providers used by HITGo may store or process information outside St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Where information is processed in another country, it may be subject to the laws of that country. HITGo will use reasonable measures to protect information handled by its service providers.

16

Changes to this policy

HITGo may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, available features, service providers or legal requirements change.

Updated versions will be published with a revised effective or last updated date. Where appropriate, additional notice may be provided through the app or website.
